IOT mobile app integrated with elevators

Challenge

Elevator management is a trade in itself. The future is here too: smart digitization. Because manually carrying out technical updates in elevators... sometimes something goes wrong.

Our customer - pioneer in customer service - needed a mobile app for both end users and elevator technicians, and a desktop app for the supervisor to manage the input of the technicians. For some elevators in Germany, there was also a need for IoT integration. And so a great collaboration with the local team in Germany was created, with a view to finding a solution that would meet these needs:

  • Managing technicians’ workflows from different regions
  • Reducing charging time
  • Making data input simple, with change control in the microcontroller board
  • Providing quality user validation, authentication and authorization

Solution

BizzPro helped with the development of this innovative elevator management app, which is connected to the microcontroller board via bluetooth and USB. The desktop app is managed by the supervisor, who can use it to divide the tasks between technicians. These can now easily be assigned according to their location, depending on the request for maintenance. There is also an integration of IoT in some 100,000 elevators connected to 3G, 4G or WiFi. The supervisor is now notified when an elevator requires maintenance. Talking about convenient automation.

The most important features of the app:

  • Remote monitoring
  • Predictable notifications
  • Monitoring the lifecycle of the elevator
  • Role-based access controls
  • Customer forum
  • Task management
  • Task scheduler
  • Integration of maps
  • Advanced reporting
  • Online chat
  • Feedback forum
  • Possibility to upload documents

Result for the client

  • An efficiency increase of 55%
  • Integration of IoT as a great help in monitoring the lifecycle of elevators
  • Effective branch allocation
  • Major savings in administrative costs
  • Effective and up-to-date data exchange between the app and the microcontroller boards
